Notice to Contractors
The City of Rensselaer Planning & Development Agency is currently seeking renovation and rehabilitation contractors for our HOME2019 Proud Neighborhood Initiative; a grant funded by New York State Homes and Office of Community Renewal (Project SHARS # 20193083).
Bids for our HOME Program will be listed below under "Current Bid Announcement". Interested contractors would be responsible for scheduling a site visit with the home owner prior to bidding to obtain accurate measurements and to become familiar with the scope of work pertinent to the project site. Sealed bids will be due by e-mail or in the Planning & Development Office on the second floor of City Hall, 62 Washington St., Rensselaer, NY. at which time bids will be open and determination of the winning bid will be announced.
Special consideration will be given to MWBE and/or SDVOB contractor.
The successful bidder will be required to submit proof of proper liability insurance, workers comp coverage, as well as, disability coverage or proof of exemption. All contractors must strictly follow NYS Construction Guidelines for re-opening New York as related to the COVID-19 Pandemic (available in our planning office). Additionally, all contractors conducting HOME related activities must be an EPA Lead Certified Firm and provide certificates of each employee certified as a qualified lead worker.
