Proud Neighborhood Initiative 2022 HOME Program

Notice To Bidders

 

The City of Rensselaer Planning & Development Agency is currently accepting bids for renovation and rehabilitation work , in the City of Rensselaer under the Proud Neighborhood Initiative 2022 HOME Program.  This HOME grant is funded by New York State Homes and Community Renewal.

 

Interested bidders are responsible for scheduling a site visit with the homeowner prior to bidding to obtain accurate measurements and to become familiar with the scope of work. Sealed bids are due in the Planning & Development Office on the second floor of City Hall, 62 Washington St., Rensselaer, NY, at set times:

 

The successful bidder will be required to submit proof of proper Liability insurance, Workers comp coverage and Disability coverage, or proof of exemption. Additionally, all contractors must strictly follow New York State Construction Guidelines for Reopening New York as related to the COVID-19 Pandemic (available at the City of Rensselaer Planning Department). Also all contractors conducting HOME related activities must be an EPA Lead Certified Firm and provide certificates of each employee certified as a Lead worker.

Special consideration will be given to MWBE and/or SDVOB contractor.

During work hours, the owner is not allowed to smoke anything in the vicinity of the contractor’s work and all persons working on the contract are not allowed to smoke anything on the owner’s property.
